| La Maison d'Angkor is an attractive, intimate garden resort where style, service and functionality combine to provide a relaxing stay.
The bungalows are set around a long and suitably seductive swimming pool and could best be described as modern Khmer in design. Each combines whitewashed walls, tiled floors and dark-wood furniture, embellished by colourful silks and other local fabrics. We especially liked the private balcony/patio at the front of each room, which is a cool place to chill out and read a book. The bathroom is also pretty nice - with a shower stall surrounded by white pebbles. The centre of things is the old wooden house where breakfast is served by staff who know the meaning of service - refreshingly restrained.
La Maison d'Angkor is located, coming from the airport, 500 meters before the "Cambodian Cultural Village" on the same side of the road, and 150 meters before the big "Angkor International Hospital", in front.
